Foxhill IBC is dedicated to the promotion and advancement of young bowlers

A dedicated group of trained adult coaches teach young boys and girls on a weekly basis, mainly Saturday mornings at 8.00am for 2 hours. Beginners are welcomed from age 8 to 18, and then continue to be eligible for under 25 club and national competitions.

Over the indoor season, from early October to mid April, young players develop their skills in a number of ways, from general coaching and practice to special skills exercises, championships for 3 age groups, and some national competition and friendly games.

As young players progress, some join with adults in Club leagues and friendlies against other indoor clubs. The more successful are selected for representative Club ladies and mens teams. The Club has a large selection of shoes and bowls to suit all ages and sizes, with Club shirts.

Most of these young bowlers join outdoor clubs in the County and play on grass in the summer. Many of them are selected to play for the County in Under 25 (31 for ladies) league games, and a few have reached national and regional finals, or are national champions.

Friends and families are always encouraged and welcome to attend all youth events, and some of these adults have caught the bug and play regularly now.

If you are interested in seeing what we do, or would just like to try the game, apply to the Club Manager Carol Harding or the Youth Development Officer Dave Oxley, or coaches Henry Beach, John Fox, Jim Miller, or Bob Munday.
